I feel like most of the world caters to people who are not like me. I’m not religious, don’t like restaurants or fast food, care about other people, don’t believe in anything, don’t like live events, and don’t think simply about anything. On the outside, I’m of average height, weight, and looks for a white man in America. I don’t agree with most white male politicians on issues. I don’t agree with most politicians because most of them are religious. There is almost nowhere on earth where I completely fit in with other people. I can get along with most people because I’m not threatening to them. I usually only make fun of myself, except in these Thoughts papers.
Logic is objective unless you have beliefs that make it subject to those beliefs. You must base your logic on reality or it’s not logical. There are no cultures on earth who accept all realities because their beliefs separate them from most realities. I wish we could live in a world without beliefs, but I know that will never be a reality. Accepting reality for what it is makes me a freak. Other people see me as a normal person because that’s what they believe about me. When they get to know me, they discover the unique weirdo that I am.

I was listening to a science fiction story, and the author mentioned the possibility of a sentient computer. The only thing distinguishing a computer full of knowledge from one that is sentient would be its beliefs. You would have to program the beliefs of the computer. The computer would see the beliefs as information it uses to make decisions. If the programmer was racist, sexist, or had religious beliefs, the computer would take on those beliefs. A computer on its own has no beliefs. It doesn’t believe 1+1=2. It knows it as a basic part of its programming. If you program a computer to only notice financial issues in an area, it will ignore human rights issues. If we could program a computer to understand the logical and ethical issues affecting billions of people on earth (which we are nowhere near doing), we would need multiple supercomputers connected with instant access to each other. Even if this was possible, the amount of data we could collect in the real world would limit us. In the end, humans will mess up any results with their beliefs. Computers and humans are better off without beliefs.
That last paragraph was a bit much. In this paragraph, I’m going to talk about my spandex underwear. I was looking at the label in my underwear and it said it contained 4% spandex. If I were racist toward spandex, I would be freaking out. I would come up with some racist term like “spandies” to call them. Even 1% is too much spandex for a spandex hater like I would be. Being against spandex is probably more sexism than racism. No manly man wants to be caught wearing spandex. Dancers wear spandex. Need I say more? Actually, people who need to move wear spandex. Runners, exercisers, and motion lovers everywhere wear them. If you’re against spandex, you’re against moving.
The other day when it had just rained, I saw a rainbow in my rearview mirror. I was so mesmerized I almost ran myself into another lane looking at it. It’s almost more impressive to see it in your rearview mirror than directly in front of you. It has to be right in the right spot to see it. That’s probably why I almost went into the next lane. I thought of taking a picture, but thought that could lead to even worse results. One of the few good parts of rain is seeing a rainbow. It is the beauty of light, color, and nature mixed into one beautiful display. You have to be in the right place at the right time and I was.
Many people dislike spoilers. I am not one of them. Spoilers are my favorite things. I watched The Sixth Sense knowing about the big reveal. Bruce Willis’s character was a ghost the whole time. Knowing this, I could watch the movie and notice all the clues that lead to it. I like spoilers because I don’t like surprises. People who enjoy surprises are probably the same people who don’t like spoilers. I would much rather watch the behind-the-scenes of a movie than the movie itself. Movies are more interesting in their creation than their result. Life is about the journey, not the destination.
